Cómo usar el botón WPS en tu módem para conectar dispositivos al WiFi

Hay dos formas de conectar (o sincronizar) tus dispositivos inalámbricos a tu red WiFi doméstico: con la clave WiFi (clave de seguridad) o con el botón WPS del enrutador.

Instructions may vary slightly by router and device, but generally, here's how to connect with WPS:

1. Presiona el botón WPS en el enrutador. El botón comenzará a parpadear en color ámbar/naranja, para avisarte que está buscando un dispositivo para conectarse.

2. In the device's WiFi settings, locate and select the name of the wireless network (SSID) you're trying to connect to. Debería conectarse sin ingresar la contraseña.

Having trouble connecting with WPS?

Si tienes problemas para conectar tu dispositivo a WiFi a través de WPS, puedes intentar lo siguiente:

¿Se agotó el tiempo del conexión WPS? La luz WPS seguirá parpadeando y el enrutador buscará dispositivos por hasta 2 minutos. Si no se logra conectar en ese tiempo, normalmente se reiniciará y tendrás que presionarlo de nuevo para intentar una nueva conexión.

Is WPS enabled on your router? Check the configuración del WPS in the Wireless Setup area of your modem's user interface.
Reinicia tu módem y vuelve a intentarlo.
Si no puedes hacer funcionar el WPS después de varios intentos, intenta conectarte a la red WiFi using the network sign-in information printed on the modem label. If you don't have the label, or have customized the WiFi security settings, you can find them by signing in to the modem's user interface.
